As a token of friendship
Tokyo Metropolitan Hibiya High School requested us to create a personalized decorative fan as a gift for their sister school, Michuhol Foreign Language High School in Korea.
The customer requested a fan with a traditional Japanese design, and we were able to choose a decorative fan that features two different designs on each side, with Mt. Fuji on one side and a beautiful cherry blossom pattern on the other.
Mount Fuji has had a major impact on the Japanese view of nature and Japanese culture, and was registered as a World Heritage Site in 2013. It is both a symbol of Japan and a global treasure that should be passed on to future generations.
This motif is perfect for Hibiya High School, which is committed to nurturing students who are expected to become global leaders in the future.
Giving shape to bonds

A key feature of Manyo is the hand-drawn name inscription by artisans.
The names of both schools are placed on the design, which boldly depicts the beautiful and majestic Mt. Fuji, to give it a sense of presence as an original commemorative item, and are finished in an easy-to-read font. Attention has been paid to even the smallest details, with borders added to areas where the text would blend in with the background color and become difficult to see.
Message from Hibiya High School
"In the hope that the ties between the schools in Japan and Korea will continue to be long-lasting and friendly, we asked them to write the names of both schools on fans featuring images of Mount Fuji and cherry blossoms. It was a gift that evoked a feeling of Japan, and the students were very happy with it.
I'm truly grateful for the kind advice you gave me from the stage of choosing the fan onwards, and for the careful inscription you did. The finished product was beautiful!"
Thank you very much for your encouraging words. I am very happy that fans, a traditional Japanese craft, can be used to promote international exchange.
We wish the two high schools a long-lasting friendship and continued development of their international education activities.
